DBG Bio Energy

Founded in 2018 by a team of experienced entrepreneurs/scientists and headquartered in Groningen, Netherlands, DBG Bio Energy is a Dutch company that develops and invests in waste-to-energy projects. The company’s flagship technology is a patented enzyme process that converts paper sludge, an industrial waste stream from the paper and pulp industry, into biogas, green fertilizers, and liquid CO2.

DBG Bio Energy’s technology is based on a cradle-to-cradle approach, which means that it seeks to close the loop on waste by upcycling it into valuable products. This approach is in line with the principles of the circular economy, which aims to decouple economic growth from resource consumption.

Our partner is a leading player in the development of waste-to-energy technologies and has the potential to make a significant contribution to the fight against climate change. Biogas is a renewable energy source that can help to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels. Green fertilizers are a more sustainable alternative to synthetic fertilizers, and liquid CO2 can be used to reduce emissions from greenhouses and other industrial processes.

We look forward to working with them and enhance your students’ academic journey!
