Locations

UBI Management

Professor Gaston Fornes leads the development of the school’s overall academic strategy, and chairs UBI’s Academic Executive Committee. As a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Fellow of LSE-IADB, Prof. Fornes provides leadership for UBI in fostering excellence in teaching and research activities. He is also a recognised foreign expert consulted by the Shanghai government and an established reviewer for EFMD accreditation processes. Prof. Fornes received his PhD from University of Bath and completed his Post-Doc at IE Business School.

Dr. Feliciana Monteiro is the Dean of UBI Luxembourg. She is responsible for the overall implementation and operational success of UBI’s strategic plans at our Luxembourg campus. Dr. Monteiro is a member of UBI’s Academic Executive Committee and Career Services Lead. UBI Luxembourg runs the BSc programme in English, supported by a team of academics and practitioners. Dr. Monteiro received her PhD in Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp. She is also a PCC certified coach and member of the Order of Economist (Portugal).

Giuseppe Bellia is the Dean of UBI Brussels. He is responsible for the overall implementation and operational success of UBI’s strategic plans at our Brussels campus. Giuseppe is a member of UBI’s Academic Executive Committee, which shapes the direction of UBI’s academic portfolio. He joined UBI in 2014 as a faculty member of both the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes, and currently takes on the concurrent appointment as UBI’s BSc Programme Director. Giuseppe is an official member of the PM² Alliance, and is registered within the Netherland’s CRKBO. Giuseppe holds an MSc in Management (Business Administration and Management) from Boston University, and is the Founder of Beddru Contemporary Art.

Jenny Xia is the Dean of UBI Shanghai. Jenny’s journey with UBI started in 2004, beginning with her involvement in UBI Brussels as a partner of executive programmes. She is instrumental in the process of establishing UBI Shanghai, and currently heads the strategic and operational aspects of the Shanghai campus. UBI Shanghai currently runs the MBA and DBA programmes in Chinese, supported by an esteemed team of academics and practitioners from China and Europe. Jenny holds an MBA from Tsinghua School of Management and a LLB from Southwestern University. She is also an EBC certified coach, and a former Programme Director of Tongji University’s EMBA.
