Scholarships
UBI awards scholarships of 5–30%, at the discretion of the admissions committee. A motivation letter is required, and one scholarship per student applies. Named scholarships include the Wolverine scholarships (partner: Wolverine Worldwide) and the Alumni Heritage Scholarship for applicants with a family connection to the UBI community.
We cannot tell you in advance what you will be awarded — the committee decides on the strength of your application.
How you pay, and how to pay less
You do not have to pay the whole programme at once. Tuition can be scheduled with admissions — ask about the payment schedule for your programme and intake when you speak to your Programme Director.
There are two reductions on the way you pay, and they stack:
| Reduction | Amount | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| Full upfront payment | 12% off | Paying the full programme tuition upfront. Stackable with most scholarships, applied on the post-scholarship rate. |
| Early bird | 5% off | Place secured — payment completed — by 30 September for a Spring intake, or 30 March for a Fall intake. |
Where more than one applies, they are calculated in this order, each on the running amount: scholarship → upfront 12% → early bird 5%.
Administrative fee — non-EEA / UK applicants
A €350 administrative fee applies to non-EEA and UK applicants, in addition to tuition. It is the one amount UBI retains if a student visa is refused: on a documented visa rejection, tuition is refunded in full and only the €350 administrative fee is kept.
Secure your place by 30 September and save 5%
Places secured — meaning payment completed — by 30 September 2026 carry a 5% early-bird reduction for the Spring 2027 intake. This is a standing UBI rule: 30 September before every Spring intake, 30 March before every Fall intake.
What you actually pay, and when
The fee is not the whole cost. The honest answer to “can I afford this” depends on three things:
- Your fee status — EEA/UK or non-EEA. The largest single variable.
- Your study mode — studying online or HyFlex avoids relocation costs. Residents of eligible countries studying fully online may also qualify for Special Impact Online Rates.
- Living costs in Brussels or Luxembourg — budget separately from tuition.
Visa applicants: you must show proof of sufficient means as part of the visa file, and visa processing takes months. If your visa is refused with documentation, tuition is refunded in full, less the €350 administrative fee. Start the conversation early rather than close to a deadline.

BSc and International BSc fees are per year over three years. MSc, MBA and PG Certificate fees are for the programme.
