Dr. Randy Priem’s research focuses on financial market infrastructures, financial regulation, and the intersection of law and finance, but also on other topics like sustainable finance, private equity, and buyout investments.
In particular, lots of his research examines FinTech and distributed ledger technology (DLT), including their implications for securities trading, clearing, settlement, and financial-market regulation. He also studies financial risk management and market stability, including central counterparty (CCP) margining, derivatives markets, and regulatory responses to financial-market risks.
