About this programme

The world economy runs on cross-border connections, and the professionals who keep those connections productive are among the most sought-after in the labour market. Global services trade reached record levels in 2023, while the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025 identifies analytical thinking, global awareness and leadership as three of the fastest-growing skills in employer demand worldwide. As organisations face mounting pressure from digitalisation, geopolitical shifts, regulatory change and sustainability expectations, the ability to operate confidently across borders and cultures is not a differentiator; it is a baseline requirement.

This programme develops professionals who can analyse, decide and lead in international environments shaped by economic interdependence, cultural diversity, global value chains and rapid technological transformation. Students build strong cross-functional business knowledge in finance, marketing, international strategy and operations, while developing the applied analytical and AI-enabled capabilities that internationally connected organisations increasingly expect. Foreign language study, embedded AWS Academy cloud competencies and a rigorous AI-enhanced learning environment ensure graduates are prepared for roles with real global scope.

Awarded by Middlesex University London and delivered through UBI’s award-winning HyFlex model, this degree equips graduates to contribute and lead across industries and borders from day one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before applying — from entry requirements to visas.

What are the entry requirements for UBI's BSc programmes?

You need a secondary school (high school) diploma with a minimum of 65% grades or above, and evidence of a background in Mathematics, supported by a detailed breakdown of subjects and grades in English or French. You’ll also submit a copy of a valid passport, a recent passport-sized photo, proof of English proficiency — usually IELTS (6.0) or TOEFL iBT (overall 4; or 72 on the old scale) results — and a personal statement of approximately 500 words analysing how the programme will contribute to your personal and professional growth. Applications are assessed holistically: your grades matter, but so do your motivation and fit with UBI’s international learning environment. UBI assesses the maths proficiency of incoming students, and those below the required standard are advised to complete a maths foundation programme before starting.

Applications are submitted online through the UBI Business School platform, free of charge. Once your complete file is received, the admissions team reviews your academic background and eligibility. Selected candidates are invited to a 30-minute interview with the Programme Director, typically conducted online via Zoom. Successful candidates receive a formal offer of admission within 30 days of their interview. There is no entrance exam — the interview and your application file together determine the outcome.

UBI offers two intakes each year: September (autumn) and March (spring), so you can begin at the point that best suits your plans. Application deadlines differ depending on your profile: students who require a visa must apply several months before the start of the intake to allow time for visa processing, while EEA and online students have later deadlines. International students already residing in Belgium can follow the EEA deadlines. The current deadlines for each intake are published in the Application Deadlines section of this page.

All three are possible. The Bachelor programmes are offered in three study modes: fully on campus (Brussels or Luxembourg), fully online, or HyFlex — UBI’s award-winning hybrid model, available to EU citizens, which lets you freely switch between attending on campus and joining online, session by session. International students who require a visa are admitted exclusively through the Brussels campus. Luxembourg-based students should note that the final year of specialisation is delivered online, in hybrid format with Brussels.

The programme is developed, delivered and assessed by UBI Business School and quality assured by Middlesex University London, and graduates receive a British degree issued by Middlesex University — one of the top 100 Young Universities in the World and a top 10 transnational university globally (Times Higher Education). The exact award title for this programme is shown in the degree section of this page. The degree carries 180 ECTS credits over three years, in line with the European framework, which supports applications for postgraduate study and employment internationally.

No. All Bachelor programmes are taught entirely in English, and no knowledge of French is required to apply or to study, whether in Brussels, Luxembourg or online. That said, the curriculum deliberately strengthens your international profile: you will study a foreign language at introductory level in Year 1 and intermediate level in Year 2 as part of your core modules.

Tuition is EUR 8,320 per academic year for EEA students and EUR 11,890 per academic year for non-EEA students; fees for fully online study are country-dependent. For EEA students, the reduced rate is unconditional in Year 1 and is retained in Years 2 and 3 by maintaining an overall academic average of 14/20. Fees do not include personal equipment, textbooks, accommodation, or travel and visa costs. UBI also offers a range of entry scholarships — merit-based, global inclusion, family-based, special group, refugee status and corporate — detailed in the Scholarships section of this page.

Students requiring a visa are admitted through the Brussels campus. After receiving your admission offer, you make a first tuition payment (the first semester’s fees plus a EUR 350 administrative fee) before UBI issues the official documents needed for your visa application, including the registration letter. Tuition is fully refundable if your visa is rejected or you withdraw before the programme starts; the administrative fee is not. We recommend applying for a type D multiple-entry visa covering the full programme duration, and starting the process as early as possible — it takes time. Our admissions team guides you through every step.

Yes, both. In Year 3, you can choose an optional professional internship — in Brussels, Luxembourg or abroad — in place of elective modules, turning your final year into direct work experience. You can also spend a semester on exchange at one of UBI’s partner institutions, or join the optional International Business Trip to destinations such as LSE, Babson College or Boston University. With more than 40 nationalities represented among students and faculty, the international experience starts in the classroom itself.

Transfer applications are considered on a case-by-case basis. If you have completed at least one semester at an accredited higher education institution and are in good academic standing, you may be eligible for advanced entry. Transfer applicants follow the same admissions process and submit the same documents as standard applicants, and recognition of prior learning and credit transfer is assessed by the admissions team in consultation with the Programme Director. Contact admissions with your transcripts for an initial assessment.
