ASEANcham-EU is the first dedicated Chamber of Commerce & Industry for ASEAN companies and businesses operating in and trading with Europe. The chamber’s objective is to promote business, trade and economic linkages between ASEAN and EU, whilst supporting ongoing political efforts and engagements between both regions. We do this by helping ASEAN companies understand the complexities of the EU regulations and political dynamics of the EU’s 450-million strong single market.
ASEANcham-EU was conceived out of the realisation that there is a growing need for ASEAN companies to understand the EU single market and the social and economic policies that may affect how ASEAN companies do business in Europe. ASEANcham-EU is envisioned to be the first organisation to support ASEAN companies in navigating the European single market and provide a platform for networking amongst ASEAN companies and their European stakeholders and partners. ASEANcham-EU seeks to complement the existing business chambers of ASEAN Member States in Europe by working with them and providing further support to these chambers at the EU level.
ASEANCHAM was officially registered as a Belgian VZW/ASBL (non-profit) organisation in May 2022 by founding members Dimitri Duong, Joses Wong, Noel Clehane, Andries Gryffroy and Ms Yeo Lay Hwee. The chamber accepted its first member, CP Foods, in July 2022 and became fully operational as of October 2022.
