About this programme

World population has grown from around 1.5 billion at the start of the twentieth century to 8.1 billion today, and is on course to reach 9.7 billion by 2050. Behind that headline sit shifts that change how businesses operate: falling fertility, rising life expectancy, and migration that has taken the number of people living outside their country of birth to 281 million. Almost all future population growth will occur in developing economies, expected to generate around 60% of global GDP growth, while developed markets face a shrinking working-age population and five generations working side by side.

The programme prepares students to lead the business transformation these shifts demand. Students learn to interpret demographic dynamics and their social and economic implications, redesign the value chain, organisational structures and HR policies for a multigenerational and multicultural workforce, and build value propositions and go-to-market plans for emerging segments — including the silver economy, the fastest-growing consumer group in the world. Graduates are awarded a British degree reflecting internationally recognised standards.

A key differentiator is that demographics sits at the centre of the curriculum rather than at the edge of it, connected throughout to strategy, organisational design and technology. Transformation is taught as a continuous process of decision-making rather than a one-off project, so graduates learn to read demographic evolution as it unfolds and anticipate market movements before they arrive. Python is included as a core component, giving students the ability to work directly with demographic and consumer data.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before applying — from entry requirements to visas.

What are the entry requirements for UBI's Master programmes?

You need a completed Bachelor’s degree, supported by a detailed transcript with a breakdown of subjects and grades in English or French — your undergraduate degree does not need to be in business or management, as readiness is assessed through your academic record, motivation and interview. You’ll also submit a copy of a valid passport, a recent passport-sized photo, proof of English proficiency — usually IELTS (6.0) or TOEFL iBT (overall 4; or 72 on the old scale) results — and a personal statement of approximately 500 words analysing how the programme will contribute to your personal and professional growth. All programmes are taught entirely in English; no French is required to apply or study.

Applications are submitted online through the UBI Business School platform, free of charge. Once your complete file is received, the admissions team reviews your academic background and overall suitability. Selected candidates are invited to a 30-minute online interview with the Programme Director, typically conducted via Zoom, before receiving their final admission decision. Successful candidates receive a formal offer within 30 days of their interview — there is no entrance exam.

UBI offers two intakes each year: September (autumn) and March (spring). The Master carries 90 ECTS and is designed to be completed in one to two years, depending on the pace that fits your professional and personal circumstances — and tuition is the same whether you finish in one year or two. Application deadlines differ by profile: students who require a visa must apply several months before the intake to allow for visa processing, while EEA and online students have later deadlines. International students already residing in Belgium can follow the EEA deadlines. Current dates are published in the Application Deadlines section of this page.

All three are possible. The Master programmes are offered in two study modes — fully in-person at the Brussels campus, or fully online — and EU citizens may also opt for HyFlex, UBI’s award-winning hybrid model, which lets you freely switch between attending on campus and joining online, session by session. HyFlex is EOCCS certified and recognised by AMBA/BGA and QS among the world’s leading approaches to hybrid and online learning. Students who require a visa complete the programme in-person at the Brussels campus.

The programme is designed for working professionals as well as recent graduates. The HyFlex learning model blends high-quality asynchronous study with live sessions, so you can combine the Master with professional commitments, and the option to complete the programme over two years gives you further breathing room. The final six-month Integrative Management project is delivered fully online. Students studying in Brussels are also permitted to work up to 20 hours per week alongside their studies.

Graduates receive a British Master’s degree — an MSc Management award — issued by Middlesex University London, one of the top 100 Young Universities in the World and a top 10 transnational university globally (Times Higher Education). The programme is developed, delivered and assessed by UBI Business School and quality assured by Middlesex University. The exact award title for this programme, including its specialisation, is shown in the degree section of this page. The degree carries 90 ECTS in line with the European framework, supporting further study and employment internationally.

Integrative Management is the final stage of every UBI Master: a six-month, fully online project worth 30 ECTS that integrates everything you’ve learned in the taught modules into one substantial piece of work. You choose the format that best serves your goals — a research thesis, a consultancy or business plan project for an existing organisation, the Venture Creation Lab for launching a technology-driven business concept, an NGO development project, or a strategic plan combined with an internship or an international experience. Throughout, you follow an individualised path with one-to-one faculty mentoring, and the capstone is designed to deliver real social or economic impact.

Yes. You can choose the capstone route that combines a strategic plan with an internship or company project, applying your learning in a real professional environment. Internationally, you have the option to spend a semester abroad at one of UBI’s partner institutions or join the optional International Business Trip to destinations such as LSE, Babson College or Boston University. With more than 40 nationalities represented among students and faculty, the international experience is built into the programme itself.

Tuition is EUR 11,900 for EEA students and EUR 17,000 for non-EEA students — a single programme fee that covers the full Master, whether you complete it in one year or two. Fees for fully online study are country-dependent, and the EEA rate applies to all EEA students. Fees do not include personal equipment, textbooks, accommodation, or travel and visa costs for international study trips. UBI also offers a range of entry scholarships — merit-based, global inclusion, family-based, special group, refugee status and corporate — detailed in the Scholarships section of this page.

Students requiring a visa complete the programme at the Brussels campus. After receiving your admission offer, you make a first tuition payment (the first semester’s fees plus a EUR 350 administrative fee) before UBI issues the official documents needed for your visa application, including the registration letter and proof of subsistence via a blocked account. Tuition is fully refundable if your visa is rejected or you withdraw before the programme starts; the administrative fee is not. If you’d like to secure your place first and continue enrolment later, a EUR 1,000 down payment option is available. We recommend applying for a type D multiple-entry visa covering the full programme duration and starting the process early.

What our Students Say

Hear from students and alumni across our campuses and online community.

My experience with UBI School was transformative. The curriculum was comprehensive, covering everything from foundational concepts to advanced applications in real-world scenarios. The hands-on projects were particularly valuable, allowing me to apply theoretical knowledge to practical tasks, which deepened my understanding. The instructors were knowledgeable and supportive, providing clear guidance and feedback. This course has not only enhanced my technical skills but also boosted my confidence in working with Al technologies. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to dive into the world of artificial intelligence!

Karishma

MSc Alumni

I chose this programme because understanding AI wasn‘t enough for me: I wanted to understand its real weight in the business world. Over time, it challenged the way I think, pushing me to connect technology with strategy and decision-making. The value I obtained goes well beyond the technical – I have learned to translate complex innovation into something meaningful and actionable. I‘m leaving with a much stronger sense of direction and, more importantly, the confidence to navigate through the kind of change AI is bringing
