The masterclasses, guest lectures, and external site visits will provide insights and expertise on current international, economic and political developments, while fostering discussion and debate.  Professor Michael Cox, Founding Director of LSE IDEAS, will be speaking about globalisation and its discontents. Sebastián Nieto Parra, Head of Latin American and the Caribbean at the OECD Development Centre, will discuss policymaking. Dr. Mary Martin, Director of the UN Business and Human Security Initiative at LSE IDEAS, will analyse business in society. Professor Robert Falkner, LSE’s Academic Director of the TRIUM Global Executive MBA, will give a presentation on climate change and the global net zero transition. Dr. Cherry Yu, Associate at LSE IDEAS and senior research fellow on China at Chatham House, will introduce China’s economic diplomacy. Professor Christopher Coker, a Director of LSE IDEAS, will share his presentation on war and peace in the 21st century. Professor Chris Alden, Professor of International Relations and a Director of LSE IDEAS, will be the concluding keynote speaker.

“This international business experience is a key highlight of UBI's MBA programme. Through our partnership with LSE IDEAS, our students gain valuable insights on leading trends and discussions shaping current international relations, global business and economic challenges. The external visits to companies such as our corporate partner Wolverine Worldwide provide a first-hand exposure to the context of global organisations operating in one of the world's leading financial centre."

The students will be accompanied to an external site visit at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). They will also visit the Wolverine Worldwide offices, as well as Lloyds.  A visit and tour of England Rugby Football Union and Twickenham Stadium will round out the week’s programme.

UBI’s MBA cohort is looking forward to a truly memorable week of learning, business immersion, and corporate networking!
